KENYA WILDLIFE SAFARI ITINERARY

Each and every wildlife viewing safari planned by Silent-fliers-of-Kenya is a trip that we design so as to fit an individual experience. This isn’t just a trip to Kenya, but an Africa-experience, where you can immerse yourself in the sights and sounds, the colour and the beat of this spectacular and sometimes mystical continent full of captivating contrasts.
 

13 day Kenya Wildlife Safari to Samburu, Ol pejeta , Lake Baringo, Lake Bogoria, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara.

Day 1
Location
: Nairobi
Accommodation: Fairview country lodge
Day 1 Overview: Arrival of the guest and transfer to Fairview country lodge

Day 2
Location
: Samburu
Accommodation: To be determined with quest
Day 2 Overview: This morning we begin our tour by visiting Samburu National Reserve. A popular wildlife heaven located in northern part of Kenya. This park is home to species like Reticulated giraffes, Beisa Oryx, Greater kudu, Gerenuk gazelle and Grevy zebras. This species are rarely seen south of the equator.  Lions, Leopards and Cheetahs are also found here. Samburu is perhaps known for its huge Birdlife diversity.

Day 3 Overview: Full day in Samburu National Reserve

Day 4
Location
: Ol pejeta game sanctuary
Accommodation: To be determined with the guest
Day 4 Overview: ol pejeta game sanctuary. After an early morning game drive we will move from Samburu to Ol pejeta game sanctuary, which is an hour and half drive from Samburu. The ranch is located at the base of Mt.Kenya. After Lunch we will have a short rest and depart for an evening game drive. We have possibilities of seeing Lions, Cheetahs and Leopards. This is also a good area to see both the Black and White Rhinos.

Day 5
Location
: Lake Baringo
Accommodation: To be determined with the guest
Day 5 Overview: Today we will move further north to a semi-alkaline lake located in the northern part of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Baringo. This lake is extremely rich with birdlife and support large population of Nile Crocodiles and Hippos. The serenity that this area is just what you require to relax a bit, after days of sitting in Plane and vehicle. You can either take a walk to some designated viewpoints to experience panorama of the area or talk an informative 3 hour boat trip or simply watch birds in the compound of your hotel.   

Day 6

: Lake Baringo

Day 6 Overview: Full day in Lake Baringo

Day 7
Location
: Lake Baringo
Accommodation: To be determined with the guest
Day 7 Overview: A visit to Lake Bogoria National Reserve. A day trip visit to this purely alkaline lake will provide you with a chance to witness natural wild in its own way. Being close to over 2 million Lesser and Greater Flamingoes is an awesome occurrence!!. There is also volcanic geyser shorting up to 2 meters high. With a little bit of luck, sometimes you may see the rare Greater kudu.

Day 8
Location
: Lake Nakuru
Accommodation:To be determined with the guest
Day 8 Overview: Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is a Rhino sanctuary, where they are protected from poaching. Both Black and White rhinos are found in this park. Flamingoes are also plenty here as well as other species of bird particularly waders and birds of prey. Other than the Rhinos, Lions and Leopards can sometimes be seen.

Day 9
Location
: Maasai Mara
Accommodation: To be determined with the guest
Day 9 Overview: After breakfast, we will depart for Maasai Mara National Reserve. The park is part of the Greater Serengeti Ecosystem (GSE). The true remnant of an African savanna, and this is the place where the spectacular wildebeest migration, a global phenomenon has been staged for millions of years before and still is today.  The interaction of nature here is in its primary form. We will be visiting the northern part of the reserve where wildlife is plenty because it less frequented by visitors owing to its in accessibility. We will arrive just in time for lunch and after a short siesta, we will proceed for an evening game drive to the park. Some of the animals likely to be encountered include; Lions, Cheetah, Leopard, Elephants, Buffalos, Topis, Elands, Thomson’s and Grant Gazelles, Wildebeest, Zebras, Hippos and Huge Nile Crocodiles.

: Maasai Mara
Accommodation: To be determined with the guest
Day 10 Overview: Full day in Maasai Mara.

Day 11
Location
: Maasai Mara
Accommodation: To be determined with the guest
Day 11 Overview: Full day in Maasai Mara.

Day 12
Location
: Nairobi
Accommodation: Nairobi
Day 12 Overview: After an early morning game drive, we will return to hotel, have lunch and depart for Nairobi for a flight back home.
