ABOUT US

Silent-fliers-of-Kenya is a safari and eco-tourism company that specializes in bird watching and putting together unique and adventurous itineraries for groups and individuals interested in wildlife viewing, mountaineering and trekking, wildlife photography and beach safaris in Kenya.

We call ourselves Silent-fliers-of Kenya because of our passion and love for owls and the environment. Most owls have long, broad wings with low wing-loading, resulting in buoyant flight. The soft down-like projections from an owl’s feather barbs on the flight feathers enable a silent flight which is essential since owls hunt primarily by hearing, not eyesight. We aim to provide our guests to Kenya with a silent flight, ensuring minimal impact on the environment, while viewing the magnificent Kenyan landscapes and wildlife.

Silent-fliers-of-Kenya promotes and employs eco-friendly forms of tourism as we have a great respect for nature and an investment in conservancy. The primary goal of eco-tourism is to experience the wild without harming nature and having a minimal environmental impact as a result of the travel experience. We are locally owned and operated by Kenyan's with expertise in ornithology and wildlife. Our guides are members of the Kenya Professional Safari Guide Association.

We offer trips not only to well known destinations, such as  Samburu, Amboseli, Nakuru and Maasai Mara National Reserves and Parks, but also to beautiful areas that are off the beaten path and less visited, like Kakamega forest, Kerio valley, Kongolai escarpment, Arabuko Sokoke Forest, Mida Creek, Lake Turkana, Meru and Ruma National Parks.

Our services are specifically intended to cater to guests’ requirements with the personal attention of our well-trained and experienced staff.  We are always flexible and we arrange trips to suit our clients’ needs and preferences. Creating a unique specialty tour is our business. Just tell us what you have in mind and we will figure out how to accommodate you. We arrange every detail of the tour so that you can enjoy your Kenyan safari with peace of mind.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
